Company 26 truckies were ready for battle, but upon arrival found that grandma burned her chicken dinner.
Structure Fire at Last Laff Bar on Main St. in Chicora

Upon arrival ladder 26 and its crew found a small grease fire in the kitchen. Crews used dry chem fire extinghishers to knock down the fire. A handline was pulled for back-up and the fire was out in minutes. Engine 26-2 laid a line from the hydrant for water supply and its crew assisted the ladder crew with ventilation and overhaul. Engine 26-1 and its crew stood by on the "C" side. Crews were cleared from the scene within the hour. Engine 9 & Engine 28 assisted.
First Working Fire for Ladder 26

Ladder 26 responded to its first working fire as part of the Chicora Fire Department. Station 26 was called to assist Station 28 (Petrolia) with a structure fire in Petrolia Borough. Rescue 26 and Engine 26-2 also responded.
Responding units found a two-story wood structure with fire in the second floor and attic. Ladder 26 and Rescue 26 were ordered to the scene by the station 28 IC, and Engine 26-2 was held in reserve at Staging.
Ladder 26 was assigned truck company functions and performed vertical ventilation. Ladder 26 and Rescue 26 personnel also assisted Engine 28 in advancing a hoseline into the structure. After knock down of the fire, Ladder 26 and Rescue 26 performed overhaul and salvage.
